Since the 1970s, we have been building green, sustainable designed structures. As we gained experience, we developed a package called The inSOLAR System™ that we use to create projects that heat and cool themselves, use natural daylighting, and make their own electricity. Bradley Residence

A 1,500-sq ft craftsman style home on a hilltop location in Tuolumne, California. This home was integrated into a boulder outcropping creating intimate outdoor landscape areas. Views of Yosemite, the Tuolumne River Canyon and Mount Diablo are captured in each room. Download PDF of Bradley
Beumer-Browner
Year Completed: 1995
A contemporary home designed for a steep upslope lot in Kirkwood Meadows (7900 ft. elevation). The design takes in the panoramic views and incorporates materials that will withstand severe climate and heavy snow loads. The 4-story home is stepped into the hillside to allow ground floor access to all levels. DeMattei
Year Completed: 1981
A 2-story Victorian style home nestled among the evergreens, overlooking the Tuolumne River. It features an indoor spa, solar collector panels, hydronic radiant flooring, and a solar drainback tank.
Diggle Residence
Year Completed: 1996

Fisher
Year Completed: 2001
Situated on nearly 3 acres, this 2,800-sq ft home includes 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and was designed for casual entertaining. Proper site orientation provides passive solar heating through south-facing glass that complements the hydronic radiant flooring during the cooler months. Skylights and large windows wash the main living area with natural light, and a Solatube brightens the bathroom. Frey I

One of the first inSOLAR System homes designed by Cooper Kessel after graduating from Cal Poly School of Architecture.
Frey II
Year Completed: 1990
Custom design and construction of a 3,190 sq. ft. Contemporary style home in Confidence, California, that includes a solar heated radiant floor system along with many special features and design elements. Heath Residential Project
Year Completed: 2000
This home usues passive solar design. Glazing lets in the winter sun while tall Perch overhangs black the sun in summer. It features a Rumford, site-built fireplace with custom glass doors and a Trombe wall.Download Heath PDF
Hunt Residential Project
Year Completed: 2005
This 2700-square foot home is washed with natural light throughout the day due to site orientation and its abundance of windows. Located on a 3.75-acre parcel in the foothills, it includes 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, an artist’s studio, and an office. The heating and cooling system includes solar-heated radiant floors, a wood-burning stovetank for overcast days, and earth-coupled cooling. Mannos Chalet
Year Completed: 1993
A 3,500-sq ft vacation home at Kirkwood Meadows Ski Resort. A straightforward chalet design efficiently solves the structural and accessibility challenges posed by this area of heavy snowfall.
Morice Residence
Year Completed: 2000
This custom designed 2,482 sq. ft. ranch style home is located in Sonora, California. The home features an exposed truss ceiling, slab granite countertops, custom cabinetry, as well as incorporated wiring for the stereo sound system throughout the home and deck areas. A 2-story home in Sonora, CA. Its hillside location and expansive windows on both levels provide a breathtaking view. The new home also includes a cantilevered deck, hydronic heating system, and custom cabinetry.
Welch Home
Year Completed: 2003
This 6,360-sq ft mountain home is located in Kirkwood, California. The home features detailed woodwork, a spiral staircase, and custom masonry (both inside and out). Custom cabinetry is incorporated throughout the home. The kitchen has granite countertops and imported Italian tile floors.Welch PDF
Williams Ranch Home

This 5,469-sq ft California Ranch style home with a detached 864-sq ft garage is situated on a large oak-studded site in Jamestown, California.
